Yeah, probably. I was talking to akpm about it earlier; I'll need to
provide him with scripts which give him the diff between a given git
tree and its common ancestor with Linus' tree. But once that's done it
should be feasible to just switch to git instead of BK.
Ok, here's the patch. It won't boot for me, can't get initial console;
I'm
assuming its because of some driver problem I'm having with the default
Redhat .config install (it probably doesn't help that I'm not on a Redhat
system). I'm in the process of building the Redhat kernel with a stripped
down configuration so I can reboot it and verify this. The patch is just
your patch, David, with some trivial fixes, so I'm sure it'll be fine. Could
you also please boot after you build just to verify that you get to the
console?
