David- I just synced to your current git-tree, built, and installed the kernel. Kernel boots and seems to run ok, but I'm not able to start auditd. /var/log/messages shows: Dec 8 16:31:18 localhost auditd[3093]: Error sending failure mode request (Connection refused) Dec 8 16:31:18 localhost auditd[3093]: Unable to set audit pid, exiting Dec 8 16:31:18 localhost auditd[3093]: The audit daemon is exiting. Dec 8 16:31:18 localhost auditd[3093]: Error sending failure mode request (Connection refused) On the other hand, I rebuilt the latest kernel you posted to your site from source rpm's and it's able to start auditd just fine. Any ideas? This machine is running FC4 with audit-1.0.12-2.fc4. :-Dustin
